choreography: Boris Charmatz
dancers: Boris Charmatz, Julia Cima, Raimund Hoghe
Julia Cima and I move around Raimund Hoghe, but although we creep around, he is the phantom. His presence is enough to give rise to movement. I try to reduce, to simplify. To simply be there labouring, on stage level; the choreography is delegated to higher powers. It touches inert bodies with the help of a few simple machines... The "régie", or running, strives to exist in spite of proof of its weakness. We're in a minor mode. Just one movement at a time, so as not to cloud the picture, and to make sure that this trio exists through just one body at a time. I take the movements one at a time in order to fully understand the mechanism. One thing leads to another, but they all become blended in our minds.
